Lotus Elise S or Toyobaruion?

For mostly track use I'd have the Elise, for mostly everything use I'd have the triplet.

I would think as a daily driver I would prefer the 86. However if we're picking for a weekend driver then Elise all the way!

Toyobaru...much more comfortable for a 6'4" 250lb frame.

Elise S by far! It will be free to buy.

Agreed, although can we pick an Exige instead of the Elise? :D
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:43 |

I'll take the Lotus.

Elise, no contest.

I like the engine layout of the Elise, but that's about it.

Haven't driven either, but I want the Lotus. Daily driving it may change that, though. Do I get the extra money for mods on my Toyobaru if I choose it?

Elise, but preferably the pre-facelift model. I suppose if I had to DD it I'd take the Toyobaru though, an 86 if I had my choice of the triplets.

Lotus.
Test drove the FRS and the clutch sucked more than a cheap hooker.

Exige; topless isn't for cars.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:49 |

Lotus.

Elise, don't care if I have to spend an extra 10 minutes getting in and out.

yeah, DD a 86 but all around i'd choose an Elise, there is almost no contest. Elise just out performs the tits out of the 86 even those quality wise, the 86 is a million times more practical (I work for a Lotus dealer) :]

Lotus
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:52 |

Definitely the Elise. Mainly because I like Lotus.
![]() 12/03/2013 at 18:54 |

One of the 86 twins please!

Since the Elise is an obvious answer, and perhaps the car would be DD'ed, I'm going to go with the Toyobaruion. Also because I rarely see anyone but myself use the words "Toyobaruion" or "Toybarion". Poor Scion always gets forgotten, even by myself:

DD Toyota
Track . . . toyota
but I may be biased.

Lotus.

Have driven both. Lotus, please!

Most definetly Elise. I can't drive but have ridden in an Elise. It's so fantastic. When was the last time you looked up at bikers?
![]() 12/03/2013 at 19:24 |

Yes, this! I'm 6'3" and @240. I've driven an Elise before. It was not a good fit.

pretty unfair comparison, I could get an 86 and a R33 GT-R Vspec for the price of a 2011 Elise S.
I'd probably still prefer the Elise though.

I'm pretty sure if it was against the Exiege, everyone would jump on that. The Elise is a much harder choice.

Strictly straight up
![]() 12/03/2013 at 21:22 |

Fair enough. Also, what did you use to make the graphical comparisons?

Hands down the Elise.
